Description: This is a stunning pair of UV colour changing mint green garnets from the Merelani area of Tanzania, the same area where the world famous tanzanite and the deep green tsavorite garnets are found. These lighter coloured green garnets change to a vivid pink colour under U.V. light. The gems are 100% natural and untreated in any way, each comes with its own certificate of authenticity from gemporia's gem collector which can be traced through their website. While these garnets are not the largest of gemstones, they are some of the rarest and are much rarer even than their closest relation, the tsavorite garnets. This is the only matching pair of these garnets I've ever had and it's unlikely that I will find another pair of a similar quality. I believe that I've priced these gems below market value but I am fairly flexible on price so please feel free to make me an offer and I guarantee that no reasonable offer will be refused. Dispatched with royal mail tracked 48. Of all the phenomena a gemstone can produce, colour change is by far the rarest and most sought after, commanding the highest of prices of all phenomena producing gemstones. Flawless examples of gems such as alexandrite can command up to 20,000 per carat!
