Stencils are cut from clear plastic sheets that are 6 Mil thick and acid free to prevent damage to projects. Making them flexible to also use on some cylinder shapes and see through to help keep on point of projects. You can use adhesive to hold them in place when needed. They are very light weight/thin, washable, reusable, and flexible.Stencils are cut with a cutting machine not a laser cutter. Image shown in a negative form (black and white, brown and white, gray and white, etc.), so that the image will stand out better for you to see, but all stencils are cut from clear plastic sheets. Sometimes there is some residue left over from the adhesive used to hold the plastic down while being cut, but it can be cleaned off with some soap and water. The 5x8 inch size is stencil size, not image size. Image size from longest points up and down and side to side are about 4.5x7.5 inch. Unless stated differently.
