Beneath the bust the denomination has been replaced by "ONE OZ 999 SILVER" referencing the weight, purity, and content.Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is a map of the United States with the Louisiana purchase highlighted. A trumpet representing Jazz is located above the map while a brown pelican, the state bird can be seen on the lower left. The upper inscription reads "LOUISIANA / 1812" while the lower one bears the date of "2002" and the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM".
