Description: 10 Sweet Potato Slips. Ships free. Produces Red/Yellow/Orange/Purple Sweet Potatoes. Basically I have so many varieties in my field that they are mixed together. I am a crazy about collecting varieties (there are 6,500 sweet potato varieties in the world). I am official. That is important because I have been inspected and certified by the State of Florida and my plants are quality, see my images for my certificate. In my field I have these: BeauregardMurasaki ImoBush Porto RicoCentennialGeorgia JetJewellJapaneseVardamanWhite Yam (Sweet Potato) My own homegrown Purple variety similar to Charleston Purple, Violet Queen, Stokes but something I developed in my greenhouse, I call them Martian Potatoes. Has a unique taste. And More! Many are Beauregard which are fast growers and Deep Purple Sweet Potatoes. I am adding more and more purple because of the anthocyanin. I try to collect as many different type and let them permaculture over here in Florida. I have another listing that is all purple. Eat the leaves in a Summer Salad. So you get 10 strong Sweet Potato slips of mixed varieties. I give you mostly roots and some vines to mix it up. I grow these in Saint Augustine, Florida beyond Organically (Compost made with seaweed and forest compost rich in indigenous microorganisms). They are prolific and nice producers. They just need heat to grow. Instructions - They will look like they will not make it for 2 weeks. 1) As soon as you get them place them in water or plant them. 2) When you plant them keep them moist but not soggy, they need to develop a root system. Soil should be lose and fluffy or even sandy. Leaves do not matter, as you want energy going to the roots. 3) They will wilt and look like they will not make it, then spring to life. :) Some will not make it but others will. That is just gardening. You should have a nice crop. 4) You need 60 degree soil temps - please - check the soil temps. https://www.agweb.com/weather/soil-temperatures 5) If they do not work for you write me. Really, I want these to work for you and sometimes shipping takes its toll. However, I can refund you. So write me. I am a family homesteader - However - these Sweet Potatoes I grow myself are Certified by the State of Florida Department of Agriculture! Thanks, Mark Biernat
