Description: 10 coins per bid . You are buying 10 coins randomly picked from the lot pictured. With careful cleaning, they will reveal stunning detail. I have included pictures of some coins I have cleaned myself. Great gift or hobby idea! Each at least 1600 years old. These coins are of Low quality - some will show detail when cleaned The coins are selected from the lot pictured. They are generally ~10-20mm in diameter, with some larger coins included. The bronze coins are likely Constantinian-era coins with great detail hidden under a layer of dirt. The coins are genuine and bought in bulk from European auction houses or people who find them metal detecting. During the height of the empire, Rome's mints were producing 1M coins per day. Later bronze issues are commonly found throughout Europe. During the 3rd and 4th century AD, inflation was one of the key factors towards the decline and fall of the Empire. Most of these coins, among other late Roman Bronze coins, can be attributed to this period. Emperors such as Diocletian enacted price controls, only making things worse, driving consumers to the black market. Inflation and poor monetary policy crippled the Roman economy leading to the inability to pay it's armies. This is why these coins sell for such reasonable prices today! Cleaning tips can be found online - I will include my method in all purchases.
