Glassines are also recommended for the storage of negatives and plates from electron microscopes, and temporary storage of seeds and etymology specimens. Scott Numbers and identifying information can be written on these envelopes, but we recommend that writing should be done before stamps are placed in the envelope, to prevent the impression of the writing onto the stamps inside.
