Description: 'BLBP 19' is a cultivar that has been bred to have some of the highest essential oil and Valeric Acid content. This particular variety of Valerian also has a very high root yield. The flowers are pinkish-white umbels and a bright green ferny foliage. It has been used for centuries in traditional medicine for a variety of ailments, particularly insomnia, anxiety, depression, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), menopause symptoms, and headaches. As always, use any plant or seed with caution and at your own risk and discretion; it is highly advised that you do your research on herbs as medicine, as many of them can be quite potent and not to be taken lightly.
