Product was custom built with a convex 10mm Lens and filled with Laser fluid to optimize light extraction from each LED chip. Under nominal conditions, module consumes 10W of power to generate over 2W/cm2 energy density at the tip of the lens. Module needs to be coupled with heat sink capable of dissipating at least 7 W to avoid thermal damage and ensure long life time. When beefed up cooling is used, these devices may be over-driven to as much as 150% and yield about 3W/cm2 power density.
