Description: Full Set of 12 Wedgwood Virginia Military Institute Dinner Plates Mulberry 10.75” This is a rare and wonderful 12-piece set of porcelain plates from Wedgwood featuring the Virginia Military Institute. These round plates have a diameter of 10.75 inches and showcase various architectural elements and traditions of the school. They have a gorgeous mulberry design with a raised floral/scroll design around the rim. These commemorative and decorative plates are vintage, with each plate having a printed backstamp and the Wedgewood stamp. This set is in excellent condition, with areas of minor crazing and a couple showing yellowing due to age. There is a small chip on the bottom edge of Virginia Mourning Her Dead plate at the 1 o'clock position. See photo. This is just a fabulous and extremely hard to find full set of 12 that is in near perfect condition. Replacements Ltd. currently offers only three of these plates for sale, and all are priced at $199.00 plus shipping.
