Direct acting valves do not require any differential pressure to operate. LIMITATIONS: These valves are designed for gravity-fed systems and they will NOT work with pump or city water pressure. The maximum vertical distance between the top of the fluid surface and valve is 3 feet regardless of tank size. Water column heights over 3 feet create an excessive pressure and the valve may not open.
