Description: Set of 12 pieces of French cutlery, made by Cailar & Bayard. Silversmith Noel Cailar and Pierre Bayard worked under the name CAILAR-BAYARD between 1848 and 1934 in Paris. Their company was bought by Christofle in 1912. Pattern Filet Chinon created c1898. These spoons and forks are huge – just like in those French films! Each piece is marked with the company's hallmark, and you can see LB monogram on the back of each utensil, but not on the front. In terms of condition, there's no visible shortage of silver plating, and the pieces are beautifully shiny just after a quick polish! 100d
