Keeping the carb a little cooler maintains a good air/fuel mixture and therefor an increase in horse power. This spacer is an economical way just to raise the carb if you are having problems with clearance of the air cleaner. This particular spacer in 1/2" in height and for square bore carburetor / intakes. Mounting holes are 5 1/8" and 5 5/8" apart.
