Please follow us on Instagram @textiletrunk ~*~ This textile is A BEAUTIFUL and very very rare c1870 wool, woven tapestry curtain from France~ I was so unbelievably lucky to have found a very very large SET of these curtains with their matching valances , tiebacks and passementerie!~ I am selling all of the pieces individually but if you would like to see everything that is available in this set, simply search my store for the words " Victorian tapestry " ~ The tapestry fabric is a very heavy weight wool and cotton ~ This textile would not only be beautiful to hang as a curtain, it is IDEAL for repurposing into large upholstery projects as I have SOOOO many yards of this fabric on each curtain!~ One could upholstery 3-4 sofas with this set!~ Extraordinarily also, the width is very wide ~ so much beautiful fabric. The trim is all hand woven also. The ground tone is black and the other colors include terracotta and neutral tones~ This textile is SO heavy and SO large and last week I had a ski accident and tore my ACL , so while I'm hobbling, I'm trying to list as easily as possible t the best savings for you! Each of these panels I'm selling at 40% off as , I have decided to photograph the one in the set, in the least good condition. This textile is large and heavy, so with Free shipping , it's important to read the descriptions , measurements and conditions carefully so to be sure that this textile is just right for your home or project!~ ITEM SPECIFICS : This textile listing is for a curtain panel with the trim on the LEFT side and bottom. There are original rings on the top for hanging. This is an unlined curtain, with a backing fabric ( some in good condition some not! ) ~ ( please see condition and measurement details below MEASUREMENTS: This textile measures approximately: 154 inches long ( 12.8 feet long) 44 inches wide at the top 50 inches wide at the bottom ~ The measurement of each varies slightly , SO if the exact measurement of this is important for you, please message me before purchase ~*~ CONDITION: This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition ~*~ I have photographed the LEAST good condition piece of the set as the guide, ALL others are in better condition without the hole at the bottom!!! However each has some small holes in the body, some pale storage marks, wear etc So, if this piece will work for your home or project they all will. That bottom of this panel can easily be cut away and retrimmed. The trim along the edges and the bottom has damage here and there on every single panel. For a Chateau curtain of 1870 ~ it's in fabulous condition, however it is not without signs of time and use. This set is best purchased by someone that understands and appreciates the signs of time and use like I do, as it's not right for everyone. Each of the curtains are backed in fabric, however some of the backing is torn and will need to be replaced if you are hanging with the backing showing. The important thing to remember about your purchase of this piece is that you will not receive the identical piece, you will receive one in slightly better condition , there are signs of time and use and some will need the backing replaced if you require. I have priced each of the panels to reflect : The time saved in photographing and describing the exact condition of each, The damage on the worst condition piece as shown and I've also priced them as if the backing must be replaced for each.
