Description: Louis LegrandFrance (1863-1951) Offered here is a fine example of Legrand’s sense of composition, line and detail. The viewer can see the joy in the young girl’s eyes as she looks lovingly into the patient face of her grandmother. This antique etching is in overall very good condition but there is some age related toning and scattered foxing. It is pencil signed by hand as well as in the plate. The work is housed under glass in a vintage hardwood frame. It is not uncommon to find hand signed Legrand etchings selling for over $1000 at auction.
