Description: This is a unit originally intended for dissipating motor power when decelerating a larger motor. Each resistor is 8 ohms for a total of 16 ohms when wired in series. There is also a 40 amp rectifier fuse in series with the two resistors. As you can see in the picture of the front page of the instructions, the unit is rated at 1400 watts continuous and 40,000 watts peak for two seconds only. This unit has never been installed and is in like new condition. Could also be used just for the two 8 ohm resistors. Each resistor is about 2.5" Diameter by 12" long. See pictures for dimensions of total assembly. The fuse is a 40A Rectifier fuse FWP-40A14FaThese could be connected parallel for 4 ohms @ 1400 watts
