Description: 1/4 plate daguerreotype of a pretty woman wearing painted gold jewelry, housed in its full original case. Both the daguerreotype and case are in very good condition. The dag has a light tarnish ring ,a few random tarnish spots and a small mold spider or two. That diagonal line on the right might be a scratch but looking under magnification it doesn't really look like one.. not sure what it is.. possibly a thin drapes cord, or even something on the glass. Let me know if you have any questions about that. The double clasp case is complete and intact with no repairs. The daguerreotype has been resealed with archival tape, with most or all of the original seals having been placed back inside of the case behind the dag. Boxed shipping.
