Description: 1/4 daguerreotype in full case, along with a handwritten note identifying him as either Tillinghast Almy or his brother-in-law John A. Littlefield, husband of Penelope Green Low. Both men were merchants in Rhode Island. Nice push-button leather case that is still intact.. outer layer of leather on the spine is split, inner is intact. Plate has some hazy tarnish but I don't see any damage... looks like the seals dried up and broke but I doubt the dag has been opened up.
