Description: I have to clear some space on my shelves, so I need to part with some of my collection. Modelcollect is a relative newcomer to the model world but has established a fabulous reputation for innovation and quality. They initially produced some small scale finished models and later branched out into kits and larger scales. Some of their most popular (and my favorite) kits are their 1/72 B-52 and B-2 strategic bombers. They have armed them with a full complement of Air Launched Cruise Missiles (ALCMs) or Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missiles (JASSMs). Modelcollect has now decided to make these detailed missile sets available as separate releases to be used for dioramas or to arm other bomber kits that were not so well-endowed. This set provides eighteen AGM-129 Advanced Cruise Missiles (ACMs) that were carried exclusively by B-52Hs until the missiles were removed from service in 2012. In this set of 18 ACMs, you can assemble 12 of them with wings stowed (transport mode) and 6 of them with wings deployed (flight mode). I found over a dozen listings for this newly-released set on eBay (mostly from distant overseas sellers), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this set very quickly. Here is what I have learned about this state-of-the-art set: The Modelcollect website has a page for this kit that shows the impressive box art and the complete full-color 2-page Instruction Set and Painting Guide. Unfortunately, there is not much information about the kit or subject. From other sources, I have found the following information about their set: The AGM-129 ACM is a low-observable, subsonic, air-launched cruise missile. The AGM-129 was carried exclusively by B-52H Stratofortress bombers. · 1/72 scale model kit of the AGM-129 ACM· Total 18 missiles included · Six of the missiles can be built in the wing extended (flight) position. The remaining twelve can be built with wings in the folded position using PE parts. Scalemates.com shows that this is a new tooling from 2022. They show the box art and provide a link to the review below, but don’t give us much specific information about this set. Dominik Weitzer did an excellent In-Box Review on the German-language kitreviewsonline.de site. He gives us eight high-resolution photos of the sprues, PE fret, parts close-ups and the instruction sheet. He was very happy with the molding quality and detailed parts and his Conclusion was: “The kit can be seen as a pure upgrade to the existing B-52 bomber from the same house to equip it with twelve folded missiles. As a bonus, the variant of six deployed (quasi in flight) missiles is also included in the kit. Nice accessories, quickly assembled.” This set is in a beautiful, sturdy box about 10.5” x 6.5” x 2”, with a great image of a missile in flight. As you can see from the pictures, the package is pristine and still sealed with tape strips (these were never shrink wrapped from the factory), so I consider it factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains a set of eighteen injection molded plastic MRASM kits, with a total of 66 grey plastic parts and a fret of photo etched metal fins (but no decals), along with a small instruction sheet.
