Description: Custom built model of a Republic P-47d Thunderbolt fighter plane. A high quality, recently built kit with enamel paint, custom decals and painted details. A mainstay of U.S. Army Aircorps in WW2 it was a unique design with a huge turbocharger system located behind the pilot.The plane was huge and heavily armed and with it's weight, could out dive most any opposition. Very successful with the U.S. though somewhat eclipsed by the later, longer ranged P-51 Mustang, many pilots preferred the P-47 for its ruggedness and ability to accept battle damage and still bring it's pilot home. This is a scale model collectors item to be handled and unpacked with care, not a childs toy to be played with! Has small and sharp parts that could break off if mishandled. Buyer should expect the possibility of small parts coming detached in shipment but model is very well built and will be carefully packed (check my feedback) and damage is quite unlikely.
