Description: 1793 Antique George III Silver Cream Jug By Peter & Ann Bateman London England. Antique George III cream jug by Peter & Ann Bateman. Piece is in overall good condition considering it is 230+ years old. Some signs of use, wear, and age. A repair was previously done on the handle (pictured). No dents. The front is monogrammed “AB” under the spout. Perhaps coincidental, but this is the same initials as Ann Bateman. This piece was acquired with a small slip of paper (pictured) providing further provenance for the piece. This slip is included as part of the listing and dates the piece to 1792-93. The makers’ marks are very clear along the back of the base (pictured). A small square block of wood is fitted into the underside of the base. Approx 5 1/2” tall (14 cm).
