Description: This is an exact copy of the Town of Gloucester bye-laws as approved by the General Sessions MA court in 1795 in Newburyport in Essex County, just north of Boston. It is signed by James Hay, Eliphalet Davis, and Thomas Parsons. They were the town selectmen in 1799 so that is assumedly the date it was copied. I can not find an earlier one! It is complete although some of the pages are loose. There is a 1747 Basire print on the cover of the booklet. Most of the booklet is pictured here.
