The date of this coin is NOT visible, however, we can be certain of the date due to the large die break on the reverse, running through the last 0 in 100 and going between the M and E in AMERICA. This crack is unique to certain 1798 large cents, known as the Sheldon 186 variety. It has been cleaned at some point and has a dark streak on the front from having tape over it at some point (all tape residue is gone).
