Description: Very fine antique 17th or 18th century Spanish or possibly Russian baluster square base candlestick / candle holder made out of brass or bronze. The nice heavy baluster stem is attached to the base by means of hand-cut threads. The candle cup was cast-in as part of the stem, so the candlestick was made in two parts. Sits flat and straight. No obvious damage or repairs. Great and even patina from age.
