Description: 17th Century Charles II Oak Refectory Table Country of Origin: EnglandCirca: 1680 A rare early table that has a beautiful color and a great deal of historic charm. The frame, which is thought to date from 1675 or so, is raised on ball turned legs and cup feet. The cross and end stretchers exude quite a bit of natural, historic wear. The cross stretchers in particular are quite impressive. I have tried to capture this wear in the photos. The table top is almost certainly later, likely mid-late 18th Century. It is rather impressive in its own right being about an inch thick and possessing a great deal of age character.
