Description: Listing is for Set of Vintage Eighteen (18) LOUIS MARX & Co., WWII Hand-Painted 60mm Hard Plastic Russian Infantry Soldiers, 1:32 Scale, 2 1/2” High-Excellent Condition. These soldiers were made in United States during 1951 - 1978. Set of 18 infantry soldiers includes 5 different fighting positions. There are 6 soldiers tossing hand grenades, 4 soldiers with raised rifles, 3 soldiers firing pistols, 2 soldiers running with submachine guns, and 3 soldiers leaning backwards with raised pistols. Soldiers are made of hard plastic and are detailed. 6 different colors were used in hand-painting these soldiers to make them look realistic. They look like that there new & never played with. I do Not see any paint chips. There is nothing broken, chipped, cracked, or missing from any soldier. Arguably, Marx was most well-known military toy company through 1950s, which continued producing such toys until 1978. Marx is well known by collectors and some kids for making excellent quality toy soldiers. These sets were known often as ''Battleground,'' offering WWII American, Germans and Japanese soldiers. Original Marx sets were painted in 1 uniform color. To find Hand-Painted Marx WWII soldiers is rare. Marx logo was the letters "MAR" in a circle with a large X through it, resembling a railroad crossing.
