Bound without the final advertisement leaf.Gilpin was a renowned landscape painter, this work containing many of his paintings.Collated, all plates are present. CONDITION In a full tree calf Sotheran binding, rebacked with the original boards and spine restored. Externally, generally, smart. Light bumping and wear to the extremities. Small crack to the head of the front joint. A few light marks to the boards and spine. Front hinge is starting a little but remains firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with some odd spots, and a little offsetting due to the plates.
