Description: The 1804 large cent is one of the keys to the draped bust set, along with the 1799. A very challenging issue as most coins have some sort of impaired surfaces. This pleasing mid-grade example is exceptionally attractive! The lovely surfaces bear typical grade-consistent wear with no abnormal or distracting marks or abrasions. Wonderfully smooth and boldly defined with dark chocolate-brown color presenting uniformly over both sides. A cud on the obverse over the RTY in Liberty and on the reverse over MERIC in America confirm the date/variety.
