Description: 1840 to 1860 Hexagon Skirt THIS ITEM: Beautiful examples of 1840, 1860 fabric. Some chintz with the glaze still intact. This is an antique quilt top that was reproposed into a skirt. The lining is fabric from the 1950's. So, I am assuming sit was made in the 1950's. The fabric is cotton, with a black velvet waist band. The quilt top is hand pieced. CONDITION: Very Good condition. Fabric loss in 5 hexagons. There are stains present. The bottom of the skirt has fraying, where it dragged the floor. SEE PHOTOS. 21/2 " at the bottom of the skirt has been turned under and hemmed.
