This 1840 William Harrison Presidential Campaign Token belonged to a friend on mine that recently passed away. He had a small political collection put together in the 1950's & 1960's of about fifty pieces that I will be selling over the next couple months in my other listings. This 1840 William H. Harrison presidential campaign token has somewhat toned overall and appears made of copper (see photos). The obverse has a profile of Maj. Gen. W.H. Harrison and has his birthdate, "Feb. 9, 1773" to the base (see photos). It has a log cabin to the reverse, is dated 1840 and states Harrison is, "the peoples choice" (see photos). The medal is well struck, measures approximately 25mm and has a small hole to the top (see photos). This is a very nice/clean original 1840 William H. Harrison presidential campaign token that would be excellent for display with a political collection. Great opportunity for the advanced political collector.
