Description: On November 6th, 1844, Kennebunkport, ME Land Deed shows Sold for $225. Oliver Bourne Sold to David F. Clough. Signed by Justice of the Peace Joshua Henick. In 2010 less than 3500 people lived there. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 49.35 square miles (127.82 km2), of which, 20.52 square miles (53.15 km2) of it is land and 28.83 square miles (74.67 km2) is water. During his presidency, George H.W. Bush often invited world leaders, from Margaret Thatcher to Mikhail Gorbachev, to Kennebunkport. In 2007, his son George W. Bush invited Vladimir Putin and Nicolas Sarkozy. I wonder if this deed was tied to the Bush family Summer home. Beautiful Historical document suitable for framing. Great piece of history. (A10)
