On the obverse is the all-seeing eye of Jehovah capped by a three-pointed Phrygian crown, and "Holiness to the Lord". On the reverse is the denomination five dollars, 2 clasped hands, S.L.C.P.G. = Great Salt Lake City Pure Gold and the date. Mint condition. The original was made by the Deseret Mint, 1850 in Salt Lake City, Utah and authorized by Brigham Young, prophet of the LDS Church.
