Description: 1852 Province of Cordoba/Argentina Silver 8 Reales coin (KM#32). An important one-year issue for this crown-sized issue from Cordoba, produced in the final year of operation of the provincial mint which ran from 1844 to 1852. Shows classic late-use die deterioration on the central sun-face and castle (issues other than those struck from pattern dies are fairly week in the central features for 1852). Otherwise fields appear quite sharp and has nice light-diffusing graphite tone to the silver surface. Coin devices are relatively strong with edge lettering, sun rays, castle with flags, lower spray with flower all in nice definition. Clean backgrounds free of blemishes, some light hairlines (possibly cleaned long ago) as seen in photos. See photos for your own grading purposes and please ask if more are needed. Authentic weight and diameter also shown. Scarcely encountered in high grade condition, this issue is pleasantly serene to look at.
