Description: 1853 Map of Roman Empire and Northern Barbarians in the 4th Century Printed and Color Engraving by W. Williams. This map appears to have come from "World in the Middle Ages" book. I acquired it in the sealed plastic cover with the laminated copy of the title page taped to the outside of the covering. The book is dated 1854. See pictures. This map clearly came from a book based on the fold down the center. There is natural discoloring due to age, but the plastic covering has kept it in very good condition as there are no visible tears in the paper. There are pin marks in the covering but I don't see any on the map. There is a pencil mark as pictured indicating someone was selling this 1853 print for $60.00.
