Original publisher cloth binding shows light wear as pictured, including rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, toning to the spine, general wear around the extremities including bumping to the corners and spine extremes, and rubbing and soiling to the page edges. Otherwise this is an attractive, well-preserved antique volume! Tight and square! The gilt title lettering on the spine displays nicely from the shelf despite toning. There is typical age-related toning to the pages, as well as some light foxing and soiling scattered throughout, and some general light edge wear and corner creasing, but otherwise this volume is clean and free from rips, tears, writing and markings. Perfectly readable throughout! Illustrated with a frontispiece portrait. Make sure to see the additional photos below for a thorough look through this antique tome. 336 pages.
