1860's CAPE MAY, N. J. STEREOVIEW, BEACH SCENE, MAN W/ UMBRELLA, 5 SAILBOATS, #I

Description: Stereoview photograph of Cape May, N. J. beach scene showing man with umbrella & five sailboats in the distance. This view has the photographer's marking on the back: "From J. B. Brown, Foot of Ocean St. Cape May City, N. J." The photographer had an earlier address in Cape May which they have inked over, in period, to reflect their current address at the time this photo was sold in the 1860's. This stereoview circa 1860's is as issued with squared corners matt. This view measures 6 7/8 inches by 3 5/16 inches. The card has some wear to the edges & corners & some age soiling. There are a few pin speck size scuffs off of the photo surface. A very appealing, historic, & extremely & hard to find Cape May photo. This photo is from the estate of a collector whose family collected items connected with Cape May for three generations.
