Unlike the first series, these notes gave no indication that interest was being paid but were clearly identified as being "Missouri Defence Bonds." This note features a Vignette a portrait of Jefferson Davis at the center. The State Seal is printed at the lower right as well as Vignette of a woman in a tombstone frame on the lower left.
