In fair condition. Front hinge beginning to split at head of spine - binding exposed. Marbled boards scuffed at edges & worn at leather corners. Head and tail of spine heavily rubbed, leather beginning to peel away from binding. Gilt lettering, however, is bright and clean. All edges speckled. Front board is very fragile, attached by cording only. Previous ownership initials on front end-page: JLB. Light toning throughout text-block - no known marginalia. Soiling & age staining exhibited in tail of gutter between 182-3 pp & has caused off-setting to pages before and after - does not impede text. Binding is fragile in some places, but intact.
