Description: Presented is a beautiful sterling silver fish slice or flat server from Shreve, Crump & Low. This piece was likely made between 1865-1880s. We have another piece with the same monogram and pattern which is inscribed 1877, so we suspect that this piece was made the same year. Bright cut engravings fill the handle and the serving end of the piece. There are elegant boarders and many scrolls and foliate details. This server is a large size, and thick giving the piece a substantial weight. The handle has been monogrammed, FP, in a flowing script. The server has been marked 925 for sterling silver along with Shreve, Crump, & Low. This piece is in excellent condition. The engravings are crisp and well-defined.
