Description: Offered here is an ORIGINAL 1872 STEEL ENGRAVED BIRD'S EYE VIEW OF PHILADELPHIA. THE LARGE VIEW WAS A SPECIAL SUPPLEMENT TO HARPER'S WEEKLY. The map is officially titled: "BIRD'S-EYE VIEW OF PHILADELPHIA" The unframed, engraved, folded view measures 22.75inches high x 33.0 inches wide. The print created from 'sketches by Theodore H. Davis' has a bold, and strong impression, presents very nicely. The print has several tears and fold separations which have all been sealed with archival tape (see photo). There are no losses to the image. There are some marginal chips and tears but fortunately, the margins are generous enough where that won't present a problem once matted and framed.
