Description: 1876 AU+ Shield Nickel - Better Date MY COMMENTS: THE GOOD NEWS: Decent Looking Better Date Better Grade Coin, Very attractive with nice color & Eye Appeal. Has some Shield Line details, The Leaves and details at the top of the obverse are weak most likely from being struck thru grease that was in the coin die. Has some separation in some of the lines in the reverse stars. The dark in the center of the reverse is dirt that looks well stuck to the coin. Please bid with confidence because I stand behind what I sell. THE BAD NEWS: Cleaned long ago. If you view the coin in just the right lighting at just the right angle you can see many hairlines mostly on the obverse. They look more like Die Polishing Lines, but I'll call it cleaned.
