Description: Bells like this were originally made by Chiantel Fondeur, a foundry in Saignelegier, Switzerland. They were reproduced in the United States until the 1960s by Bevin Bros. Mfg. Co. Sears, Roebuck and Co. sold thousands of the bells between 1900 and about 1940. This example has a solid steel clacker instead of the typical wire/ball clacker. The bell remains in good condition, showing signs of age, use, and wear. Light casting is evident. Iron components show age patina. Please see the pictures for more detail. Guaranteed 100% authentic in every respect for life. Be sure to see our other listings for more historical antiques and militaria. Be sure to follow our store as new inventory is added daily.
