Description: Original 1879 colorized wood engraving, window matted of the “Town of San Antonio de Bexar, Texas, 1840,” from “A Pictorial History of Texas,” by Rev. Homer S. Thrall. Published by N. D. Thompson & Co., St. Louis, 1879. Overall size of engraving with margins is 6 x 7 7/8, and it is covered with a clear acetate sheet, matted out to 11 x 14”. . The item is poorly stamped The Old Print Gallery, Washington, D. C. White mat has light wear to corners and some smudging or staining to left side.
