Description: In 1964 the US Government discovered a hoard of Carson City Morgan Silver Dollars in the Treasury Vault. This 1880 coin was included in that discovery being a part of the 13-piece Morgan Dollar series of 1878 thru1893. The silver used was from the rich Comstock Lode, discovered in the mountains by Carson City. The 1880 Morgan is in it’s original GSA packaging government slab, with black box and accompanying card with serial, #80119266. This coin is from a personal family collection.
