Description: Landwehr Regiment 29 I have seen a lot of these books over the years. Most of the ones you see are World War I era or just prior to the start of the war. What makes this book unique is that it is from the 1880s and specifically mentions an oath to Kaiser Friedrich III. I’m not sure if the Kaiser administered the oath personally, but this is the first time I’ve ever seen this mentioned in one of these books. Book is in great shape for being nearly 150 years old.
