Description: Here's a fairly scarce antique "Muff" pattern kerosene stand lamp from the 1880s with blue base & clear font.....This lamp is mentioned on page 236 in Thuro's book on Oil Lamps. It has a color picture of this same blue base Muff lamp on page 237. This wonderful oil lamp has its original double threaded brass connector that allows either the font or base to be unthreaded.....9"tall (16 3/4"with burner & chimney).....Excellent shiny nice condition with no chips or damage. A nice clean lamp. The original brass threaded collar has a couple small splits in side, but is solid and burner threads into it just fine. Brass & tin EAGLE burner has no wick but one can be supplied if you like.....Old glass chimney has the early beaded Pearl Top....Excellent shiny nice condition with no chips or damage.......
