Description: Large 17" x 24" print of Gettysburg Battlefield as viewed June 7 & 8, 1882. Reverse has biographical sketches & portraits of Confederate Generals Joseph Johnston, Fitzhugh Lee, James Longstreet, J.B. Gordon and William Mahone. Also portrait and biographical sketch of Union General John Newton and view of farmers visiting the Antietam battlefield while Union soldiers were burying dead on Sept. 19, 1862. They were published in Leslie's History of the Civil War in 1890's. There was slight separation and minor losses at the center top that was repaired with a strip of paper glued on the back side.
