Included are recipes, samples of menus, a glossary of cooking terms, suggestions on carving meat, household hints, and "Practical Suggestions to Young Housekeepers" by Christine Irving. Recipes are attributed to contributors from across the United States. In rubbed, blind- and gilt stamped black oil cloth.
