Description: An early edition - I believe the First Edition was published in the 1870s. Green cloth board, light edge wear, moderate corner wear and top/bottom spine wear. Very solidly bound, two previous owner names inked on endpaper and perhaps a first owner name, from, and date - 12/25/1887 - on title page. The first owner's name was Roy Merriman and one of the owner names on the endpaper was Howard Merriman, so it apparently stayed in the family. Subtitled, Adventures in the Wilds of Trinidad and Up the Orinoco, so the content should be clear. 392 solidly bound pages with no markings and very nice engravings! B30
