Description: This 1886-O is partially circulated, with a total mintage of 10 million of them, its hard to say how many survived the Pittman coin act with the recycling of silver coins. PCGS believes aroun 350,000 survived! Thats a far cry from the 10,000,000 produced. This dollar is an oddity, considered a common date, but also a scarce date. Hard to find in 60's grade or higher. So much so that there were forgeries of 1886 dollars with an O added on the reverse, if looking hard enough you will spot a seam on the forged coins where the O is placed. Not common but worth the hassle to double check. Thank you for looking, feel free to request additional photos. All offers welcome.
