This work was originally published in ten volumes between 1887 and 1892. This work comprises of the entirety of Voltiare's work on Charles XII in addition to the above mentioned works. The extracts from Voltaire's works on Russia are chapters XI, XV, XVI, XVII and XVIII. These two volumes would have originally formed volumes VII and VIII of the wider set. CONDITION Rebacked, in a quarter crushed morocco binding with marbled paper boards, original spine and boards preserved. Externally, slight bumping to extremities resulting in small loss to marbled paper, front board volume I. Slight fading to spine, volume II. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright with the odd scattered spot, heavier to first and last few pages. Small closed to fore edge of rear free-endpapers, volume II.
